The Bidx.com security key saves and restores your draft bid data. The security key lets you save your bid form data directly so you do not need to export the bid form. The security key is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
 

Creating a security key

1. Click the icon with your initials.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click the Security tab.
4.  Select Get Security Key. This action generates the security key (a .json file), which downloads automatically.

Note: Store this file somewhere safe on your trusted device, as it is not password protected.  

    

Installing a security key  

Bidx.com automatically installs the security key to your browser when you create it. If you use a different browser, switch machines, or update your browser, you might wipe the security key from the browser.
 

Follow these steps to reinstall a security key, or to install it on a different browser or machine:

1. Click the icon with your initials.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click Install to open your file explorer and locate the security key. You’ll see the status change from “Not found” to “Installed.”

Note: You can create a backup copy of your security key by clicking the Manage or Backup button.

Replacing a security key

If you lose access to your security key, you can replace it for free in your Account Settings.

Warning: You will lose all bid data associated with the active key when you remove it.  

To replace the security key: 

1. Click Manage. 
2. Select Remove. 
3. Read all associated consequences and warnings, then type “DELETE” to confirm removal. This action removes the active key and lets you create a new security key by clicking Get Security Key.
