You can purchase Bid Express Small Business Network accounts to sponsor contractors that work with your agency. For many agencies, sponsoring these account types allows them to promote SBN engagement while providing bidding opportunities to small businesses.
Accounts can be purchased in blocks. Agencies can contact your account manager for more information.

The number of accounts used and available is located in the header of the Manage SBN Account page.
From the Manage SBN Accounts page, you can manage and process sponsored account requests.
- Click the blue status of the request you want to manage. You will be taken to a new page to process the request.
- Select Approve or Deny for the SBN account request. Click Submit.
- Once you submit your preference, the request is processed and you will be returned to the previous page.
The Proposal Information page shows which proposals have had sub-quote requests published. From this page, you can view a list of these proposals, the number of requests, and the number of replies.
Work types briefly describe the type of work a prime contractor is looking for in a sub-quote request or what a subcontractor is qualified to perform.
You can manage and add work types for the Bid Express Small Business Network manually or upload them as a file.
Note: A work type cannot be deleted after it is created, it can only be marked obsolete.
To see work types that were previously marked obsolete, click View Obsolete Worktypes. Click Mark Active to reactivate an obsolete work type.
To add a work type:
- Click Add a new work type. A new row will appear at the bottom of the list of work types.
- Enter your new work type name and click Save. A confirmation window will appear.
- Click OK. The page will update with your new work type added.
To edit a currently active work type or mark obsolete:
- Click the Edit button in the same row as the work type you want to modify.
- Edit the work type name or mark as obsolete. A confirmation window will appear.
- Click OK. The page will update with your modifications.
From this page, you can upload files for the prime contractors and subcontractors who are using the Bid Express Small Business Network. This is also where you can label the attachments you’re uploading.
You can send a message to all contractors who have a Bid Express Small Business Network account sponsored by your agency.
To send a message to your sponsored SBN accounts, navigate to the Send Custom Message to Sponsored Contractors page and draft your message. Click Send when you are ready.
