"Favorites" are a group of features that help you save time searching for work opportunities by finding and highlighting for you the project proposals that match your preferences.
Use the Favorites feature to select your preferred agencies, areas, and project items to work with.
- On the search results page, all proposals that match one or more of your Favorites will be highlighted with a star to the right of their ID#.
- On your Workspace, a feature called Proposal Recommendations presents you with proposals that best match your interests.
- The service uses an algorithm to assess each proposal according to your selected Favorite Counties and Items.
- Proposals that match your preferences are then ranked, giving priority to proposals that match Favorites from both your Items and Counties lists.
- Top-ranked proposals appear in a box at the top of your Workspace, bringing interesting opportunities to your attention as soon as you log in to Bidx.com.
- Sign up for email notifications to get matching proposals delivered to your inbox of choice. See the section titled View from your email.

Favorite Agencies
Are there agencies you bid with more than most? Select your Favorite Agencies to unlock a quick view of their letting dates in your Workspace.
Browse agencies
Click the icon next to the agency name to see the list of agencies. Use the filter at the top to search for an agency, and click the star to mark an agency as a favorite.
Search agencies
Use the search to locate an agency instead of scrolling through the agency list.
- Enter the agency name in the Search by agency field.
- Select the agency name to see the lettings.
Favorite agencies
If you regularly look for work with specific agencies, you can mark those as favorites so they’ll be first in the agency list. In addition, letting dates from favorite agencies are marked in the Lettings calendar on the Workspace tab.
- Find the agency in the agency list.
- Click the star icon to make it a favorite.
Favorite Counties
Is there a certain area where you like to do business? Select it as a Favorite County and the service will identify opportunities for work in that county.
Proposals that match your favorite counties will appear at the top of an agency's letting. The favorite counties you select are also used to identify your personalized proposal recommendations.
View and edit your Favorite Counties
There are a few ways to manage your favorite counties:
From the agency navigation sidebar
From the lefthand sidebar, click the icon next to an agency's name to expand a slide-out panel of all agencies. Your favorites will appear at the top of this panel and are also indicated by the yellow stars on their right. All other agencies appear below.
If you have favorited a county or counties within that agency, the county will display below the agency's name. Click Edit to the right of your favorites county to manage them.
From the letting page
On an agency's letting page, proposals that match your favorite counties and items appear at the top. A help icon at the top of thist list provides a link to view and edit your favorites in the Workspace.
To the right of the Proposals heading, click the Edit favorites dropdown menu to manage your favorites.
From the Workspace Favorites tab
From your Workspace, click on the Favorites tab to view and edit your favorite items and counties.
Click on the Edit button at the top right of the Favorite counties box to view a browseable or searchable list of counties by agency. Click on the star icon to select a county as a favorite.
Favorite Items
If you often look for proposals that contain a particular item, you can search for that item and mark it as a favorite. Proposals display a note when they contain a favorite item, and you can filter the proposals to show only items that you've marked as favorites. Favorite items are also used to identify your recommended proposals.
Note: Different agencies may have different item numbers for the same items.
Favorite an item
There are a few ways to add an item to your favorites:
From a proposal page
From an agency's letting page, click a proposal to view its items. To the right of each item is a star icon. Click the star next to an item to select it as a favorite.
From the Workspace Favorites tab
Your favorite items are located on the Favorites tab in your Workspace. You can see the favorite items you've selected grouped by agency.
Remove an item as a favorite by clicking the three dots on the right and then Remove.
Click the Edit button to search items by agency. Select an agency and enter your search criteria. From the results, click the star icon next to an item's name to select it as a favorite. From the side panel, click the red circle icon to remove a favorite.
You can also use the toggle option to show only favorited items in a proposal.
From the proposal page, click the Favorite items only toggle option in the Items header to see which sections contain the item and their line item number.
Sort by Favorite Items
Sort proposals by your favorite items to quickly identify opportunities of interest.
From a proposal page
When viewing items in a proposal, your favorites will be highlighted with a yellow star to the right of the item.
You can also view only the items in a proposal that match your favorites by clicking the toggle called Favorite items only.
On your Workspace
Proposals that match your favorite items and counties are highlighted at the top of your Workspace's Dashboard tab.
